JETGO Australia’s Dubbo to Melbourne flights move to Essendon Airport

JETGO Australia officially began operations to Essendon Airport on Sunday 3 July, enhancing its Dubbo to Melbourne services.

Having used Avalon Airport as a temporary base for its Dubbo to Melbourne flights, JETGO Australia is now delighted to use Essendon Airport as its preferred Melbourne airport after the installation of brand new security screening services to assist passenger transfers at Essendon Airport.

Initially JETGO Australia offered Dubbo to Melbourne return services to Essendon Airport three times a week but has also recently announced that it will commence services from Essendon Airport to Port Macquarie as of November 2016.

JETGO Australia’s Managing Director Airlines Paul Bredereck said: “We are very excited about moving to Essendon Airport as it is such a fantastic iconic airport that will offer our customers so much more convenience.”

“Essendon Airport has been fantastic to work with, constructing a temporary terminal to accommodate JETGO’s services while the heritage listed Essendon Airport Terminal is undergoing a $20M refurbishment,” he said.

Chris Cowan, Essendon Airport CEO said, “I’m delighted that JETGO is bringing the Dubbo route to Essendon Airport, alongside the recent announcement of Port Macquarie. We are the obvious home for regional aviation in Melbourne. We have the cheapest city airport parking in Australia at only $8 per day, a no frills terminal, no delays from terminal to wheels up, simple check in process, and we are the closest airport to the CBD,’’ said.

“There is also a FREE shuttle bus to Melbourne Airport making transfers easy for regional passengers. In addition, we are the only Airport in Australia with a tram service right on our front door step,” Chris added.

Dubbo and Port Macquarie joins Warrnambool, Portland, Merimbula, Burnie/Wynyard, Flinders and King Islands as regional centres enjoying the benefits of flying directly in an out of Essendon Airport.

Essendon Airport is located just 10km from Melbourne's CBD, 6.5km from Melbourne Airport and just a few minutes away from Australia's premier factory outlet centre DFO Essendon, with over 100 international and national brands all up to 70% off including Melbourne's only Polo Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss and Ted Baker outlet stores.
