The function of the Community Consultative Committee is to provide a forum for the exchange of information between the community and the aviation industry.
The formation and membership of the Community Consultative Committee was approved by the Commonwealth Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government.
The Community Consultative Committee’s membership is as follows:
· An Independent Chair, as agreed by the Committee’s Membership
· A Federal Member of Parliament (Kelvin Thomson, MP)
· A State Member of Parliament (Judy Maddigan, MP)
· A Councillor from Moonee Valley City Council (Cr Paul Giuliano)
· 2 x Community Representatives (Mr Clive Judd and Mr Drew Arthurson)
· CEO, Essendon Airport (Mr Mark Maskiell)
· Operations Manager, Essendon Airport (Mr Andrew Croft)
Commonwealth Agencies which are aviation service providers or regulators may also attend and contribute at meetings as required.
Minutes of meetings will be made available on the Essendon Airport website after approval by the Community Consultative Committee. The first meeting was held on the 29th January 2010.
