
The function of the Community Aviation Consultation Group is to provide a forum for the exchange of information between the community and the aviation industry.
The formation and membership of the Community Aviation Consultation Group was approved by the Commonwealth Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government.
The Community Aviation Consultation Group's membership is as follows:
An Independent Chair, as agreed by the Committee’s Membership
A Federal Member of Parliament (Kelvin Thomson, MP)
A Local State Member of Parliament
A Councillor from Moonee Valley City Council (Cr Jan Chantry)
2 x Community Representatives (Mr Clive Judd and Mr Kevin Walsh)
CEO, Essendon Airport (Mr Chris Cowan)
Operations Manager, Essendon Airport (Mr Graeme Ware)
Commonwealth Agencies which are aviation service providers or regulators may also attend and contribute at meetings as required.
Minutes of meetings will be made available on the Essendon Airport website after approval by the Community Aviation Consultation Group. The first meeting was held on the 29th January 2010.
