Sharp Airlines Now Connects Melbourne to Flinders Island

Airport congratulates Sharp Airlines on the commencement of a regular passenger service to Flinders Island from Essendon Airport.
Flinders Island is the largest of 52 islands that stretch across Bass Strait between Tasmania and mainland Australia. Flinders Island is a destination where you truly do “get away from it all” and offers sparkling beaches, rugged ranges, abundant wildlife and flora, and clear sapphire waters.
Now is its 20th year of operations Sharp Airlines has grown since commencing in 1990 from Hamilton to become a successful regional airline servicing Victoria’s south west, South Australia, and Tasmania.
The airlines now carries some 70,000 passengers annually and services 9 destinations (Adelaide, Flinders Island, Geelong (Avalon), Portland, Hamilton, Port Augusta, Launceston, Melbourne (Essendon) and Mildura.
