English Street Upgrade
Essendon Airport has commissioned an upgrade of English Street (Matthews Avenue / Tullamarine Freeway entrance), and construction of a new car park along Nomad Road.
The upgrade will improve traffic flow onto and off the site while the Nomad Road Car Park will ensure sufficient car parking is available to meet the increased demand for car parking.
Reconstruction of English Street and the development of car park at Nomad Road will take place over a period of several months. During this period traffic will be diverted and minor delays are expected during busy periods.
Road works will be undertaken between the hours of:
· 7.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday
· 7.00am to 2.00pm on Saturdays
As delays may be experienced during the construction period we suggest that the Northern Access Route (Wirraway Road) be used whenever possible.
